HONEY + GINGER + LEMON = your “go-to” homemade cure

Ginger is loaded with antioxidants, compounds that prevent stress and scavenge free radicals. It fights germs and prevent oral bacteria from growing: certain chemical compounds in fresh ginger help your body ward off germs and may keep viruses at bay. They may help your body fight off chronic diseases like high blood pressure, heart disease, and diseases of the lungs, plus promote healthy aging.
Lemon is a rich source of vitamin C – an essential nutrient involved in the repair of tissue and the enzymatic production of certain neurotransmitters. It is a free radical fighter that strengthens the immune system. Other essential nutrients are low in content. However, lemons contain numerous phytochemicals, including polyphenols, terpenes, and tannins.
Honey is a powerhouse of antioxidants, which are very effective for the removal of free radicals from the body. Its antioxidant and antibacterial properties help improve the digestive system and boost immunity.
Here is the recipe
- 1 knob of fresh ginger
- 2 Lemons
- Natural wild flowers honey – 1 cup
- Cinnamon – ½ teaspoon (optional)
Preparation and method
- Wash lemons and ginger and dry them with a paper towel.
- Don’t peel the lemons. Cut them into large pieces, remove the seeds, and cut out the white core.
- Peel ginger.
- Grind ginger first and put it into a large glass bowl.
- Grind the lemons with the peel and put them in the same large glass bowl
- Add honey.
- Add cinnamon.
- Mix everything well.
- Place the mix into a glass jar, close tightly with a lid and keep it in a refrigerator.
Instead of grinding the lemons, you can simply slice them. Fill the jar all the way up, layering the pieces. Add the grated ginger and honey and voila!
Take a tablespoon of this super immune booster every day, especially, when you see other people getting sick. You can add it to your tea or just swallow a spoonful.
You can also take 1 teaspoon before your meal 2-3 times a day for a one-month period.
After a 2-week break the course can be repeated.
